According to Closer, the Palace will take important measures in case Meghan Markle and Prince Harry plan a divorce. The outlet reported that there is no doubt that the fallout of a separation would be massive, even beyond the pain of a divided family. They were previously told that courtiers are said to be “considering a golden handshake” settlement. This would be “more generous than might be assumed, but heavily structured.”
The insider continued, “It would include a strict gagging order designed to prevent further exposés of private life.” The individual also compared it with Princess Diana‘s situation. “It’s like with Princess Diana all over again,” the insider remarked, but “this time the language will be tighter, and the penalties for breaking it heavier.” Moreover, the agreement would allow Markle “the continued use of her Duchess of Sussex title.”
The source added, “The Palace sees it as a face-saving measure, because tearing it away from her could spark a media war.” Two weeks ago, Rob Shuter reported that Harry and Markle are spending more and more time apart. “They’re living very separate lives now.
