King Charles is allegedly eager for the Sussexes’ return as royals. However, as per a source, William and Middleton are opposing this move.

According to Closer, Prince William and Kate Middleton are against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s comeback as royals. King Charles reportedly asked the Prince and Princess of Wales to keep aside their personal feelings to focus on the future of the monarchy. He allegedly believes the unity will strengthen the future. But a source claimed that William does not agree with his father.
“William has made it absolutely clear to both his father and senior aides that there is no way back – unless the Sussexes properly acknowledge the damage they’ve done,” the source said. “From his perspective, asking everyone to move on without that isn’t reconciliation, it’s denying anything happened. He’s told Charles that he can’t move on without that – too much damage has been done.”
The insider shared that William is supporting his wife. “He knows how much it affected Kate,” the insider stated. Thus, having seen Middleton “hurt,” it has made William even “more determined to hold his brother accountable.” The insider further explained, “He can’t separate his public and family life for the sake of constitutional duty.”
Recently, it was also reported that William and Middleton were not happy seeing the king reunite with the Sussexes. “Betrayed and possibly even humiliated,” said royal editor Emily Andrews to Woman & Home Magazine. “That, I understand, was the reaction of Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales following King Charles’s olive branch meeting with the Sussexes.” Andrews added, “They have been humiliated on more than one occasion by both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and seeing them swan back to the UK must, I’m sure, sting.”
