Fox News host Jessica Tarlov shared her scathing take on President Donald Trump’s “Trump 2028” Christmas hat. The liberal host received a customized “Trump 2028” hat as a gift for Christmas from the president. However, Tarlov explained that she prefers to keep away from the U.S. President and isn’t interested in “playing nice.”
Fox News host was ‘not interested’ in Donald Trump’s ‘Trump 2028’
Fox News liberal host Jessica Tarlov slammed Donald Trump’s attempt at giving her a “Trump 2028” Christmas hat. Tarlov revealed this while promoting her upcoming book, I Disagree. The book focuses on the strategy of “winning arguments without losing friends.” In an interview with Jack Cocchiarella on MeidasTouch, the 42-year-old clarified her intention to keep a distance from Trump and not be enticed by his gifts.
Tarlov said: “When people say that about Trump, like ‘Oh, you’d be so charmed.’ I’m just not interested in it. I think it’s a lot safer, frankly, to stay away from it.”
She proceeded to discuss the Christmas hat and why the “Trump 2028” present does little for her. The Democratic political strategist said: “For Christmas, for instance, he customized Trump 2028 hats for me, and, you know, said something like, ‘Thank you for your great support.’ And I get it that it’s funny for a cheap laugh. I happen to think that he will do everything in his power to be able to stick around as long as possible… So I’m not really interested in palling around or playing nice.”
Furthermore, Tarlov praised New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for maintaining his integrity when meeting President Trump. For those unversed, Mamdani met Trump at the White House on November 21 last year. The 42-year-old Fox News host said: “Now, on the Mamdani choice to do it, he got himself billions of dollars of investment in New York — that is worth a photo op, especially when he wasn’t even smiling.”
“He [Mamdani] didn’t compromise his morals or go back on anything he had said about the president — even said it to his face,” she added.
