The recent episode of Big Brother Season 28, Week 2, featured Julie Chen Moonves hosting another live eviction, with Rick Devens winning Head of Household. Three houseguests were in danger of eviction and were tossed to compete in the BB Blockbuster competition, where the winner earned the chance to dodge the elimination. Out of three, only one contestant was sent home.

Big Brother 28 loses another houseguest in Week 2 vote

Big Brother Season 28 Week 2 showcased Devens, after winning the HOH, decided to nominate Jason de Puy, Melody Morris, and Lyric Medeiros for eviction. He also planned to replace a nominated contestant with Jack “Rome” Seymour. He eventually made this move using the Power of Veto, which he applied to Lyric, replacing her with Rome. The three contestants were then left to compete in the BB Blockbuster competition, where the winner became safe from the competition. However, the house members chose, via votes, out of the remaining two who would stay and who would leave.

In the competition, the three contestants were required to stack gigantic gemstones in the right columns. While Rome made a great effort to give a tough challenge, Jason was much quicker in getting the job done. Jason quickly completed the task and hit the buzzer, which guaranteed his safety. Melody and Rome were left to fight to secure a place in the house as the members voted out one of the two. The majority of the votes were for Rome, which led to him being sent home.

Only Taylor voted for Melody’s eviction. Jason, Yash, Dee, Angela, Barrett, Lyric, Mallory, Drew, LaTrice, Haley, Chuk, and Kamu all voted against Rome, which led to his removal from the house by a majority of votes. This also made Rome the second contestant to leave the BB house as the competition continues to proceed.
