Paul Wesley gave an unexpected honor to a special guest on his wedding day. Instead of choosing a friend or family member, The Vampire Diaries star named someone really close as his “Best Boy” at his wedding to Natalie Kuckenburg.
Paul Wesley saved a special wedding role for someone close to him
Best known for playing Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesly recently married model Natalie Kuckenburg in a small outdoor civil ceremony. On July 13, Kuckenburg announced the wedding on Instagram and posted several photos from their big day. Many of the pictures featured their dog, Greg, who stayed close to the couple throughout the ceremony.
One photo showed Greg sitting between Wesley and Kuckenburg as they exchanged their vows. In the caption, Kuckenburg celebrated both the wedding and their furry companion, writing, “Mr. and Mrs. and the Best Boy Greg.”
The couple received many congratulatory messages after sharing the news. Greg became one of the highlights of the ceremony, adding a fun and personal touch.
For the ceremony, Kuckenburg wore an ivory “Lilou” dress from Galia Lahav’s ready-to-wear collection, while Paul Wesley chose a navy blue suit with a black tie. The couple got engaged in July 2025 after Wesley proposed at the Italian hotel where they had their first official date.
Wesley and Kuckenburg first met at a bar in New York City through a mutual friend. They were first linked publicly in November 2022 after they were seen together in Italy. Wesley has previously said that laughter is one of the biggest reasons their relationship works so well.
By giving Greg the title of “Best Boy,” Paul Wesley and Kuckenbourg made their beloved dog a memorable part of their wedding day. The gesture highlighted the strong bond they share with their pet as they celebrated their marriage and began a new chapter together.
