Love Island Season 8 reveals which couple won ahead of reunion date
Bryce Alakai Dettloff and Trinity Tatum are the winners of Love Island Season 8. The show’s reunion special, co-hosted by Ariana Madix and Andy Cohen, will premiere on August 31.
The last four couples in the villa were: Aniya and Carl, Trinity and Bryce, Melanie and Sincere, and Kayda and Zach. However, before the finale, two couples were eventually eliminated. Those were Kenzie and Dylan and Titi and KC. This led to the last two heading into the finale, with Bryce and Trinity emerging as winners, taking home a $100,000 prize.
During their romantic dinner, the couple reflected on their Love Island journey and their strong bond. “I’m really glad we got to this point. You were very patient with me. You’ve never once invalidated my feelings. I honestly feel like you’ve done everything right. Everything you’ve done was to make me feel comfortable,” Trinity said to Bryce.
Bryce agreed, further sharing how their relationship went through ups and downs, but despite it, they overcame every obstacle and stood strong till the very end. “Anytime I think about any of those things, it literally makes me so happy. I genuinely get butterflies,” he added. Trinity echoed similar sentiments.
Further discussing their outside villa plans, Trinity expressed her excitement to experience Los Angeles with Bryce, who was equally excited to welcome her to his city. Bryce said that she could live there as much as she likes and that she is always welcome. He also showed eagerness to visit Trinity’s hometown in Virginia, where she grew up (via PEOPLE).
