King Charles gave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a ‘wide berth,’ claims source
King Charles reportedly gave Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, a “wide berth.” The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their lives in the UK behind to live in the US in 2020. Meanwhile, Harry is now in Britain for the countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games and also for charity events. Despite various speculations, his wife and kids did not join him on this trip as of now.
Now, as reported by Heatworld, a source told them that King Charles “has already paid a price for pushing for this reunion,” while referring to Harry’s ongoing UK trip. The person continued that it has “caused so much tension between him and William.” They further claimed that it has also gotten the King’s wife, Queen Camilla, “angry with him, too.”
The insider told the news outlet, “They’re convinced he’s taking an unnecessary risk and setting them all up for more agony.” They continued, “And the reality is that Charles has spent years giving Harry and Meghan a very wide berth.” The source explained that “he became tired of feeling as though every conversation could somehow come back to haunt him.”
Per the news outlet, the insider also claimed that King Charles feels “still very burned by all the public airing of grievances that have happened over the years.” The source added, “Fairly or unfairly, there’s a strong feeling within the family that Meghan encouraged a lot of it. Which is why there’s still so much wariness around her.”
