The father of the G.R.L. singer slams health professionals for failing to appropriately treat his daughter during her final months

Lauren Bennett’s father, Richard Bennett, addressed his daughter’s death in an emotional Instagram statement. The singer, best known for her work with G.R.L. and her vocals on LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” died on May 29 in England.

Richard shared that Lauren had experienced “a severe reaction to a prescribed medication” months before her death. He said the family rallied around her and did everything they could to support her during that difficult period.

He also criticized medical professionals and NHS services, saying the family felt “deep disappointment” over how Lauren was treated during what he described as her “time of greatest need.” However, he also emphasized that the family has “no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her death.”

That distinction is significant. Lauren’s official cause of death has not yet been confirmed. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Kent and Medway Coroner Service is investigating her death, and the inquiry is expected to continue until October 30.

Richard’s statement also paid tribute to who Lauren was beyond her music career. He remembered his daughter as creative, funny, humble, and deeply loved by those who knew her. He also requested privacy as the family continues to grieve.

Lauren first gained international recognition through “Party Rock Anthem,” LMFAO’s hit single that became a global phenomenon in 2011. She later joined G.R.L., which found success with songs including “Ugly Heart” and “Wild Wild Love.”

Her former G.R.L. bandmates also shared a tribute following her death, remembering her love, laughter, and beautiful spirit. The loss marks another difficult chapter for the group, which also mourned the death of Simone Battle in 2014.

For now, Lauren’s family has asked fans to remember her through her music, her kindness, and the legacy she leaves behind.
