Halloween is getting a new multiplayer video game that lets players control both Michael Myers and his prey. A new trailer gives fans a glimpse of Haddonfield, the game’s playable sandbox. The upcoming game has already set a Guinness World Record ahead of its release later this year.

What do we see in the Halloween video game trailer?
A new map reveal trailer shows off a look at the upper-middle-class neighborhood of Orange Grove Estates. The Los Angeles location is special to Halloween fans, as that’s where John Carpenter filmed many iconic scenes from his horror classic. As seen in the trailer, the game will feature recreations of the Wallace and Doyle houses.
The upcoming game will include both a single-player mode and asynchronous 1v4 multiplayer, all taking place in locations from the first Halloween film. The single-player mode will let players take control of Michael Myers as they navigate through the events of the first film.
The trailer shows the eerie atmosphere of the many areas on Orange Grove Estates, including an abandoned playground, the backyards of the houses, and more.
Alongside the new trailer, publishers IllFonic and Gun Interactive also announced that interested fans can pre-order the physical edition of the game. The physical copies are being released in partnership with Nighthawk Interactive, with a standard and a collector’s edition.
The limited collector’s edition includes the following:
- A copy of the game on PS5/Xbox Series X
- Exclusive Trick or Treat Studios Shape Jump variant action figure
- Exclusive poster
- Exclusive lenticular art
- Advance access to the Michael Myers Samhain and Clown skins
- Advance access to two civilian cosmetics from the Standard edition
- Advance access to two additional civilian cosmetics
ComingSoon’s Anthony Nash previewed the game earlier this year, praising the title’s commitment to recreating the franchise’s atmosphere.
Halloween: The Game releases on September 8, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition of the game will be released on October 6, 2026.
