Netflix’s No. 1 2026 Show Finally Gets Beaten by This Unexpected Series

The Netflix TV chart has a surprising new number one after a mega hit dominated the list for several weeks. I Will Find You, starring Sam Worthington and Britt Lower, debuted on the streaming platform on June 18, 2026, and performed incredibly well on the charts. It even had 2026‘s biggest premiere for a Netflix original series. However, a new series now has overtaken the crime drama.

Worst Neighbor Ever is leading Netflix’s streaming charts

The true crime docuseries Worst Neighbor Ever, a spin-off of Worst Roommate Ever, holds the top spot on Netflix TV show charts, as of July 6, 2026, according to FlixPatrol. I Will Find You currently occupies the second spot. Other entries on the list are Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sullivan’s Crossing, Agent Kim Reactivated, Salish & Jordan Matter, Survival of the Thickest, The Polygamist, Louis C.K.: Ridiculous, and The Last Ship.

Notably, the data from FlixPatrol isn’t necessarily complete, but it does give a broader picture.

Cynthia Childs directed Worst Neighbor Ever, which debuted on Netflix on July 1, 2026, with four episodes. ITV America teamed up with Blumhouse Television to produce the series.

Worst Neighbor Ever not only received the stamp of approval from Netflix viewers, but it also garnered mostly positive responses from professional critics. Karina Adelgaard of Heaven of Horror wrote in a review of the show, “the true crime docuseries always interviews key first-hand witnesses from each case, and instead of dramatizations with actors who ‘kinda sorta’ look like the real-life people, animations are used,” adding that, “It works just as great for this one as the previous two types of installments.”

The docuseries replacing I Will Find You at the top of Netflix charts might come as an unexpected development to some subscribers, as the crime drama managed to hold onto its top spot in late June despite the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender returning with its sophomore season.
