Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul reportedly faces hit-and-run charges
Multiple outlets reported that Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was involved in a crash in Yountville, California. The incident took place on Friday, July 3, at around 2:30 p.m. local time. The authorities claimed that Paul rammed into a car that was parked legally on the 6700 block of Yount Street.
Paul was driving a brown-colored convertible at the time of the incident. According to authorities, the car hit received “major rear damage, and the front right tire struck the road’s curb.” It’s reported that while driving the car, he was not under the influence. Moreover, an anonymous person who witnessed the crash told the investigators that Paul’s car stopped temporarily and then moved away.
When the officials asked about the aforementioned tip, Paul admitted that he realized that he had hit something but was unaware of what it was. Therefore, he drove away after temporarily halting. “He drove until his car became disabled and was no longer able to continue driving,” the statement read.
The case was further transferred to the Napa County District Attorney’s Office for further investigation and a verdict. According to California law, Paul was not arrested but could face a misdemeanor charge, including property damage. Notably, no injuries occurred to either party.
Furthermore, a spokesperson for the Pelosi family told the Daily Mail that Paul “personally apologized to the owner of the vehicle and assured them that he would take responsibility for the damage to their vehicle.” In 2022, he faced a DUI arrest over a car incident involving his Porsche and a Jeep on a highway in Oakville.
