Taylor Swift’s Wedding Reportedly Cost Some MSG Staff Their Jobs

Taylor Swift’s wedding at Madison Square Garden reportedly led to some MSG staff losing their jobs. The private ceremony has already drawn attention for the sheer star power of its guest list. Now, it appears that the event also had an unexpected consequence behind the scenes.

MSG allegedly fired some staff after Taylor Swift’s wedding for this reason

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding at Madison Square Garden reportedly led to some venue staff losing their jobs for breaching the strict nondisclosure agreement tied to the highly private wedding, per RadarOnline.com.

The reported firings came just one day after the superstar couple exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony that left fans craving for any details from inside. As noted by Bloomberg reporter Myles Miller on X (formerly Twitter), MSG terminated multiple employees accused of breaking the strict NDAs in place for Friday night’s secret wedding event.

It’s still unknown how many staff were let go or what specifically broke the NDA. MSG has also stayed silent on the reported terminations.

The secrecy of the much-hyped wedding was on another level. An estimated 1,000 attendees, along with staff and security officers, reportedly had to turn in their phones before entering the legendary arena.

However, keeping the wedding under wraps meant more than just banning phones. Days before the big day, rumors started that Swift had gone full “bridezilla” when workers rolled out a red carpet at Madison Square Garden and then quickly took it down.

While the newlyweds kept almost everything under wraps, a few guests started posting glimpses of the ceremony the next morning. Good Morning America anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan called the celebration surprisingly intimate for a venue as big as Madison Square Garden. Roberts further disclosed that legendary artist Stevie Nicks performed during the ceremony.

“It was really this garden inside The Garden,” Stephanopoulos said, confirming that the team transformed the venue into a lush floral oasis. Rumors online even suggested that Taylor Swift cleared out every calla lily in New York City for it.
