Donald Trump’s controversial Air Force One, a Boeing jet gifted by Qatar, has come under scrutiny once again. It happened after Karoline Leavitt showcased the jet’s library behind her on social media. The pictures were shared from AF1’s debut flight, which was heading to North Dakota from Washington, D.C.
Karoline Leavitt’s Air Force One photos reveal decorative books with generic titles
The White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share three pictures from her first trip in Air Force One. One image shows Donald Trump, surrounded by the press in front of the luxurious jet. Another one shows Leavitt posing alongside White House aide Margo Martin next to the plane.
However, what particularly caught the attention of many was the third picture, which shows her seated and posing in front of what appears to be an aesthetic fake library. The shelves appeared to have fake books in the color shades of brown, white, and beige. The titles are generic words like “Antiques,” “Art,” “Jewelry,” and “Library.” Her caption read, “What a privilege to be aboard the inaugural flight on the brand new Air Force One! A truly unforgettable day.”
The same bookshelf was also spotted in a post by the assistant to the president & White House director of communications, Steven Cheung. One of his photos featured a welcome aboard card placed on the table, right in front of the library.
The US president had earlier expressed his gratitude to the Emir of Qatar for the grand gift while praising its craftmanship. He said, “The workmanship of this plane is when you see it, you won’t believe it. Actually, the quality of woods, the quality of the materials, the quality of the engines – these engines are the finest, they’re the best in the world, nothing like it.” According to reports, the AF1 will be donated once Trump’s tenure in the White House ends.
