The new movie and TV releases coming to HBO Max from July 6 to July 12, 2026, include two hit movies from very different genres.
On July 10, The Long Walk arrives on the streaming platform. The dystopian survival thriller film is based on the 1979 novel of the same name by Stephen King. It focuses on fifty boys participating in an annually televised competitive walking contest. With no finish line and strictly enforced rules, the boys must walk until only one of them remains alive. However, over the course of their ordeal, meaningful bonds are formed between them. The film’s cast features Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, and Mark Hamill.
Also coming to HBO Max is the heist comedy film Ocean’s Eight. The movie follows Debbie Ocean, who makes a master plan after completing a prison sentence. She gathers seven other skilled women to rob a $150 million diamond necklace during the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The film’s ensemble cast includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, and Helena Bonham Carter.
