As per an exclusive report by PEOPLE, Prince William and Kate Middleton won’t attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. This has put weeks of speculation and rumors to rest after William previously hinted at being invited to Swift and Kelce’s wedding.
The Prince of Wales appeared on a U.K. radio show, Heart Breakfast, alongside hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on May 22. William requested that the hosts play Swift’s latest hit song, “Opalite,” revealing that his children were big fans of the pop star (via PEOPLE).
Theakston took the opportunity to ask William: “We believe there is a big wedding happening this summer.” Holden chimed in and asked, “Oh yes! Have you got an invite?”
The Prince of Wales replied with a smile, “No comment,” before adding, “I’m hoping, and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see.” The doting father also revealed that his children were big fans of the Grammy-winning singer and that Charlotte was particularly “obsessed” with Swift.
Interestingly, William and Swift’s friendship goes way back to 2013, when they performed Jon Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” at the Centrepoint Winter Whites Gala at Kensington Palace. More recently, the Prince of Wales took his children to Swift’s Eras Tour stop at Wembley Stadium in June 2024. In the same radio appearance, William described the concert experience as “amazing.”
The “Lover” singer shared a delightful snap with William, his children George and Charlotte, and her fiancée, Kelce. Swift wrote on Instagram: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.”
