Donald Trump is back with his AI-generated shenanigans, this time sharing a morphed image of the White House that features a mounted golden eagle to hint at his plans for a supposed makeover of the presidential residence. The POTUS took to his Truth Social profile to post an updated look at the White House, which included a grand sculpture of the country’s national bird on one of the building’s most recognizable balconies.
Donald Trump shares AI image of Golden Eagle at White House
On June 29, the US President unveiled his alleged plans to remodel the Truman Balcony of the White House by sharing what appeared to be an AI-generated image online.
Donald Trump posted a photo on his Truth Social account of the said balcony that now had a large, golden eagle attached to it. The giant statue of the majestic bird had wings that spanned the entire length of the balcony, with stars and a striped shield appearing on its chest.
Trump also included a caption to the post, which hinted at the unveiling date of the gold sculpture. “A Golden Gift to the White House for its 250th Birthday Year!” it read. Meanwhile, the White House’s official X (formerly Twitter) also reposted the President’s Truth Social update some time later.
However, the image was actually an AI-generated photo and not an actual representation of the Truman Balcony. For starters, the gold statue featured 11 stars instead of 13, which normally refers to the 13 colonies the country had at the time of its founding. Moreover, the picture had content credentials in its metadata that suggested that it was a Google AI creation.
Eventually, freelance photographer Andrew Leyden put all confusion to rest by sharing an actual picture of the White House from Monday night. “This is what the Truman Balcony looks like at 9:30 pm Monday night,” he noted in his X update.
Nevertheless, this is the latest in Donald Trump’s series of AI-generated images shared on Truth Social, which has got netizens talking.
