Henry Cavill‘s latest action thriller is preparing for its physical media debut this summer. Black Bear Pictures has confirmed a release date for the Blu-ray and DVD just over two months after its theatrical run.
Henry Cavill’s In the Grey sets Blu-ray and DVD release date
The home media rollout begins on Tuesday, July 28, when In the Grey releases on Blu-ray and DVD (via ScreenRant). But fans who prefer digital can already purchase or rent the movie through major platforms, giving viewers multiple ways to experience Guy Ritchie’s fast-paced thriller.
The film is Ritchie’s first release of 2026, released in North American theaters in May. It opened against stiff competition, including the horror hit Obsession and the dark comedy Is God Is, carving out a respectable niche among audiences seeking R-rated action.
In the Grey follows Eiza González as Rachel Wild, a sharp-witted lawyer who teams up with two fixers after her mentor is murdered. Henry Cavill plays Sid, while Jake Gyllenhaal portrays Bronco — both men are tasked with recovering a $1 billion debt from a ruthless crime lord.
The cast features Kristofer Hivju, Emmett J. Scanlan, Jason Wong, Fisher Stevens, and Rosamund Pike in supporting roles. Ritchie directed from his own screenplay and produced alongside John Friedberg, Dave Caplan, and Ivan Atkinson.
The action thriller has grossed around $26 million globally during its theatrical window. Critical response remains divided as the movie holds a 49 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer. However, audience enthusiasm paints a different picture, with the Popcornmeter sitting at 83 percent. That gap suggests general viewers connected with Ritchie’s kinetic style more readily than professional critics.
The filmmaker and the stars show no signs of slowing down. Guy Ritchie’s next feature, Wife & Dog, releases in theaters on October 23. Henry Cavill’s Enola Holmes 3 is also releasing tomorrow.
