The trip is said to be part of King Charles’ efforts to spend time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But according to one insider, Kate Middleton is approaching the situation with mixed emotions (via Heat Magazine).
The source claims Middleton wants to support the King’s wishes and has always believed Harry deserves the chance to rebuild family ties. However, they also allege that years of tension involving Markle cannot simply be forgotten. As the insider put it, Middleton is “an incredibly forgiving person.” Still, there has allegedly been so much hurt that “it’s impossible for her to simply forget everything and move on overnight.”
Per the same source, Markle’s involvement changes the entire situation.
