After charming fans with his performance in Spider-Noir, Nicolas Cage has now stepped into the Call of Duty universe. He will appear in “Summer of Action” for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. A trailer for Season 4 Reloaded gave fans a first look at his character. Fans will be able to play the game from June 25.
Nicolas Cage becomes a character in Call of Duty video game
.In the newly launched trailer, the National Treasure star appears as himself and states, “Nicolas Cage, reporting for duty.” He is featured in several action sequences with high-powered weaponry. At one point, he also says that it’s “time to shake things up.” The trailer ends with Cage walking away from an explosion in slow motion, exuding pure action star vibes.
The Season 4 Reloaded developers said, “This summer, there’s no break in the heat as an unexpected hero leads the action across all four modes. Unlock and play as Nick Cage across new and returning Multiplayer maps and modes guaranteed to make you sweat. But it’s not time to cool off yet” (via CBR).
“End The Guild’s dominance in Avalon once and for all in Endgame’s new Operation King Killer, fight in a Japanese feudal castle engulfed by lava in the new Kowakujo Round-Based Zombies map and prove your status as an elite action hero with the return of the Champion’s Quest in Core Battle Royale,” the statement continued.
Players will have free access to endgame content until Season 5 concludes. Further, Black Ops 7 with Season 4 Reloaded will have Black Ops Classic throwback mode as a permanent edition. Additionally, four other maps from past Black Ops titles will be available when the content goes live on June 25.
This is not the first time Nicolas Cage has appeared in a video game. A fictionalized version of the actor also appeared in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight in 2023.
