Marjorie Taylor Greene Blasts Today’s Republican Party: ‘We are Done’

Former MAGA ally Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned from Congress in January 2026 following a public falling-out with Donald Trump, said she is “done” with the Republican Party. The 52-year-old congresswoman declared, “Tucker is not the only one who is done supporting the Republican Party.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest comments deepen her split with the Republican Party

Speaking on the podcast Can’t Be Censored late last week, Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson said there was “no chance” he would support the GOP ahead of the November midterm elections despite having defended the party for decades as a political commentator and popular Fox News host. He also added that he would not support the Democratic Party either. “I don’t know what I’m going to do,” he said, reports CNN.

Now, following his footsteps, Greene wrote on X on June 22, “There are a lot of us that are absolutely fed up and will not support a party that betrays its voters and country. That does not mean we are turning into Democrats either. But we are DONE with the America LAST Republican Party.”

Greene’s relationship with Trump reportedly soured over his handling of the Epstein files. During an appearance on CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins in early June, she said it would be “absolutely ridiculous and unforgivable” for Trump officials to conceal information from documents linked to the late convicted sex offender, reports the Independent.

Greene said, “We’re talking about pedophiles and rapists of the elite class of people that never get held accountable for anything. So if they were paralyzed and scared and didn’t know what to do about releasing the Epstein files, these people are absolutely absurd. They don’t deserve the American people’s trust.” Adding, “As a matter of fact, we should consider them as — they should be considered traitors. They’re traitors.”

According to CNN, Epstein said in a 2019 interview that Trump had been his “closest friend for 10 years.” As per the outlet, the President is mentioned more than 1,000 times in the 3 million Epstein documents released. However, there is no public evidence that the FBI found any allegations against Trump in the documents to be credible.
