After a long gap, Amber Heard returned to social media with a post about completing the KLM Norte Sur 10K race in Madrid. She shared snaps from race day, including a selfie and a photo with her 5-year-old daughter, Oonagh. Heard has not been very active on the platform in recent years.
Amber Heard returns to social media with glimpses of life in Spain
Aquaman star Amber Heard shared a rare social media post featuring herself after completing the KLM Norte Sur 10K race in Madrid on June 21, 2026. The 40-year-old actress, who had previously spoken about her love for running, seemed extremely happy in the photos.
She captioned the post, “First race glow [love emoji] [Spanish flag emoji].”
Heard also shared a couple more photos on her Instagram stories. One of the photos was a selfie of the Aquaman actress smiling into the camera. The other photo saw Heard hugging her eldest daughter, Oonagh, who is five years old.
“Nothing beats this feeling,” she wrote in the photo where she can be seen cradling her daughter after finishing the race.
Heard left the U.S. to live in Spain in 2022. Since then, she has often been spotted in athletic gear. Years ago, Heard had also spoken about how much she loved running. “I like running because it’s a way for me to alleviate stress, clear my mind, and refocus,” she had said to SHAPE in 2018. “Plus, I can do it anywhere. I travel so much that it’s invaluable to me to have something that keeps me healthy and feeling good no matter where I am.”
Amber Heard has stayed out of the spotlight after her highly publicized defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp in 2022.
After the verdict, Heard stayed briefly on the island of Mallorca before permanently moving to Madrid. She is currently focused on raising her three children.
