Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly shocked by the criticism she is facing for paid promotion of an Israeli business. Paltrow has so far stayed silent amid continuous backlash for appearing in an ad for a luxury Israeli real estate developer. She was slammed for filming a commercial for 51 Park in the coastal city of Herzliya. Notably, the actress’s late father, Bruce Paltrow, was Jewish.

Gwyneth Paltrow was reportedly blindsided by the unexpected level of backlash she is facing for her new ad. A friend of the actress told Page Six: “With Goop, Gwyneth has showed that she is always willing to take on criticism and work from it. She’s used to taking crap, but she did not expect the fallout from this ad at all.”
Paltrow’s endorsement of a luxury Israeli real estate developer did not go down well with Colin Firth’s ex-wife, Livia Giuggioli Firth, and Gigi and Bella Hadid’s sister, Alana Hadid. Hadid candidly wrote on Instagram: “Dude, the level of unhinged capitalism is f***ing astounding. Brutal. Girl. Have you opened a newspaper or watched the news? This is not even tone deaf; it’s actually complicit af.”
On the other hand, Giuggioli shared a video wherein she urged viewers to cancel the Goop founder. Giuggioli said: “She was supposed to come to the farm in a couple of weeks’ time on a tour, a soil-to-fork farm experience, and we just canceled her because what she did is completely unacceptable.”
Not stopping there, the 56-year-old questioned “complicit” Paltrow’s politics for collaborating with Israeli real estate group Aviv Melisron. Giuggioli remarked: “Making an ad for a luxury condo is as disgusting as it can be for someone [with] privilege. How detached are you from reality?”
Furthermore, she said that Paltrow is either “detached,” living in another world, “really nasty,” or “stupid.” Giuggioli also strongly called for the Shakespeare in Love star to be cancelled.
The internet was equally brutal in its criticism of the Iron Man star. One user commented, “She’s always been incredibly out of touch with reality.” A second user wrote, “Holy s*it. I was never a fan, but this just turned me into a hater.”
