Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding rumors took another unexpected turn after reports claimed the couple planned to marry at Madison Square Garden. However, some believe the headline may have served a completely different purpose.
Speaking on “The Social CTV”, Andrea Bain shared a theory that has gained traction online. “I decided to put my journalist hat on and do a little digging, and it seems like there are several different plans for her wedding,” she said.
Bain then revealed what some reports suggest happened behind the scenes. “They think that she told one particular person a similar story to see if they would leak the story. So this Madison Square Garden story is a way for her to find out who in her camp is the leak.”
Although there has been no confirmation of the claim, Bain joked that the alleged source may have already faced consequences. “We don’t know if she’s getting married at Madison Square Garden, but we know one thing: someone is OFF THE LIST.”
The latest rumor joins a growing list of reported wedding locations. Earlier reports pointed to Rhode Island’s Ocean House hotel. Later stories suggested New York City, while another claimed the couple could host the ceremony at Swift’s SoHo apartment.
Entertainment reporter Rob Shuter offered another explanation for the Madison Square Garden speculation. “Most people I know think it’s a decoy,” he said. “The theory is guests will be told to meet at MSG, then they’re put on buses and taken somewhere else.”
According to Shuter, the strategy would allow Swift and Kelce to keep the real venue secret until the last minute and avoid further leaks surrounding their highly anticipated wedding.
