Donald Trump and Spencer Pratt share their conspiracies about what they view as rigged LA mayoral elections. These theories pop up as Nithya Raman takes second place, passing Pratt. Her votes have been boosted ever since the mail-in ballots have been counted. She has received 27.1% of the votes, whereas Pratt stands at 26.7%.
Reactions emerge after the Los Angeles mayoral election result
Spencer Pratt was eliminated from the LA mayoral race after Nithya Raman advanced to second place, previously held by the former. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his reaction to the LA election while sharing a screenshot of an article, appearing to imply that the election results might have been manipulated.
“A net swing of more than 43,000 votes since Tuesday… 43,000, huh? Where have I seen that number before…?” he sarcastically wrote, referring to the screenshot. In the image, the report suggested that over 43000 people experience homelessness in Los Angeles. He suggested the possibility of election fraud. “Probably nothing,” he further added.
Trump also took to Truth Social to share that it feels suspicious to him that Pratt lost after dominating earlier. He wrote, “Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoffs after the big lead he had. 3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections! Now they’ll be working on great guy Steve Hilton. Won’t have results for, possibly, TWO WEEKS, according to officials.”
Later, the Department of Justice stepped in to address the claims about the election being compromised, following the ballot update showcasing no new votes for Pratt. F.A. United States Attorney General Bill Essayli took to social media to explain why such an issue emerged.
“There was a claim circulating on social media about an election night ballot update at the Los Angeles Registrar of Voters where one candidate received zero votes. We reviewed official county records. The claim is false. Each candidate received votes in every update. My office will continue monitoring the election counting process and will follow the evidence wherever it leads,” he said, debunking the earlier claims.
