Moreover, Chervinsky said that the 39-year-old actor wanted “to take accountability for his part in what happened.” He also termed it a “minor Mardi Gras bar tussle.” LaBeouf’s attorney added that there was “no evidence it was about bias or prejudice.”

Previously, the Transformers star was arrested shortly after midnight on February 17 after being escorted out of a bar in the French Quarter. In the altercation video, LaBeouf is aggressively shoving an individual to the ground. As per the New Orleans police report, he hit another person in the face, “causing his nose to possibly dislocate.” Reportedly, the Salvable star repeatedly used homophobic slurs and continued to do so even when he got arrested.

Shortly after his arrest in February, a judge ordered the actor to undergo drug and alcohol rehabilitation. However, in an interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan, LaBeouf denied having a “drinking problem.” The Indiana Jones star also expressed his apprehensions about rehab. He explained to Callaghan that the real reason behind his aggressive behavior during the bar incident was not alcohol but rather “anger and ego.”
