A comedic talent has joined the cast of Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2. The announcement comes right after production for the second installment of the hit Prime Video spy TV series began in Los Angeles in April. Season 1 starred Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as the titular couple, premiering in February 2024.

The latest addition to the cast of Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 is Matt Rogers. He will be joining Francesca Scorsese, who was recently cast as Mrs. Smith. According to Deadline, Rogers and Scorsese will not be paired together, unlike fellow Season 2 additions Mark Eydelshteyn and Talia Ryder.
Matt Rogers is best known for his appearances in Netflix’s No Good Deed, Prime Video’s Overcompensating, and Showtime’s I Love That For You. He is also known as the co-host of the La Culturistas podcast alongside Bowen Yang. They recently taped the 2026 edition of the La Culturistas Culture Awards, which is scheduled to be streamed on Bravo and Peacock on June 17.
Created by Glover and Francesca Sloane, Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 1 also starred Alexander Skarsgård, Eisa González, Paul Dano, John Turturro, Sharon Horgan, Billy Campbell, and Sarah Paulson, among others.
The spy drama, despite taking inspiration from the 2005 film of the same name, follows two strangers who are paired as spies and live together as a married couple. In contrast, the film was about a bored married couple who were, by coincidence, highly skilled assassins working for competing agencies.
And while details about the plot of Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 are being kept under wraps, original leads Donald Glover and Maya Erskine are expected to reprise their roles. However, the extent of their screen time remains a mystery. That said, Erskine and Glover have both stepped into executive producer roles for the season.
A premiere date for Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 has yet to be announced.
