According to a new rumor, Sadie Sink’s character, widely speculated to be Jean Grey, will “freeze everyone in New York” in Spider-Man: Brand New Day with her powers. This comes from notable scooper MyTimetoShineHello, who shared it on X (formerly Twitter).
Needless to say, this is nothing more than a rumor, as it doesn’t come from official sources. Accordingly, fans will have to wait until the movie comes out to see if this unfolds or not.
Fans are currently awaiting the second trailer, after the first took netizens by storm in March. It was recently rated, implying an imminent release, and will reportedly boast a runtime that exceeds two minutes.
Moreover, marketing has started ramping up, with promotional material surfacing on social media. These include posters highlighting Spider-Man’s duality, Funko Pops based on him and Savage Hulk, and a light-up cinema standee.
Furthermore, a fresh batch of stills from the film has emerged, showing Peter Parker and other core characters.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026. Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and co-created Disney+’s Wonder Man, helmed it. Meanwhile, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, who scripted the previous MCU Spider-Man films, co-wrote the screenplay.
