Donald Trump defends and praises Jaxson Dart amid backlash

President Donald Trump recently posted in support of New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart faced criticism for introducing the President ahead of a rally held approximately 40 miles outside New York City last week. The uproar over this move was seen across various social media platforms. Even Dart’s teammate, Abdul Carter, responded to the appearance and questioned Dart’s decision to appear at the rally.

Trump took to his Truth Social platform to talk about Dart. “Thank you, Jaxson! It was great being with you,” Trump wrote, “I know you’re taking some heat from the Radical Left Lunatics who are jealous of you, me, and everyone who surrounds us but, I also know that your Jersey also went to Number One, and you’re making Millions of Dollars so, YOU ARE A WINNER — THEY ARE ALL LOSERS. I’ll see you in the White House! President DJT.”

Dart’s appearance at the rally was widely scrutinized by fans and critics alike. After Carter called out his teammate, he quickly clarified in a different post that he and Dart had spoken, and they were “good.”

Dart also acknowledged that “politics can be a sensitive matter.” He noted the scrutiny that comes with playing in such an important position in New York.

New Giants head coach John Harbaugh further claimed that this exchange between the Dart and the reporters presented “a really good opportunity” for other players. Harbaugh noted that players from different backgrounds can reflect on how they interact with each other and the media.
