Keanu Reeves Says 53-Year-Old GF Is ‘Easy to Love’

Keanu Reeves has described his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, as the kind of person who’s “easy to love.” For those unfamiliar, Reeves and the 53-year-old visual artist have been a couple since 2019.

Keanu Reeves recently said that Alexandra Grant is an “easy woman to love.”

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE during the 2026 MOCA Gala on May 30, the couple reflected on how dating each other has changed their approach to art.

When asked if he agreed that Grant, 53, is an “easy woman to love,” the John Wick star responded with an enthusiastic “Yes.”

Additionally, Grant, a nationally exhibited artist, acknowledged it was undeniable and admitted that her love for Reeves adds a happy quality to her art. She told the outlet, “I would say that all painting is autobiographical, even though maybe even in abstraction it doesn’t look like there’s a big narrative, but I would definitely say that my paintings become happier.”

However, for his part, the Matrix actor responded more cautiously, confessing he wasn’t certain it had.

Grant and Reeves’ story started with Ode to Happiness, the book Reeves wrote, and Grant brought to life through art. From there, they built a publishing house together and later stepped out publicly as partners.

Returning to the MOCA Gala after attending the event together in 2024, the couple underscored their commitment to making art. They also highlighted the importance of championing the creators and curators who bring it to the world.

“We are here to support MOCA because we love this museum, and in 2007 [former senior curator at MOMA] Alma Ruiz gave me my first solo show here at MOCA, so I have a long history of coming to the museum and supporting them,” Grant said. “And we want the museum to have a rich and really culturally significant future,” she added.

Meanwhile, Reeves noted the importance of the gala’s community element, calling it a chance to reconnect with friends.
