Prince William might have teased Taylor Swift wedding invite
When asked whether he’s invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, Prince William gives a rather cryptic answer. The Prince of Wales appeared on a U.K. radio show, Heart Breakfast, alongside hosts Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden on Friday, May 22. He requested the hosts to play “Opalite” for his children, who are big fans of the pop star (via PEOPLE).
Taking the cue, Theakston asked Prince William: “We believe there is a big wedding happening this summer.” Holden chimed in and asked, “Oh yes! Have you got an invite?” The Prince of Wales replied cautiously, “No comment. I’m hoping and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
It is no secret that Prince William’s children, Princess Charlotte, Prince George, and Prince Louis, are Swifties. Notably, he attended Swift’s Eras Tour in June 2024 with his children. The Prince of Wales described this experience as “amazing” during his radio appearance.
He explained to the radio hosts: “Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte, particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift. We went to see her on her Eras Tour and it was amazing. We were watching from up there, which is quite a long way from where the actual action is happening but the atmosphere was so incredible, you could actually feel the floors shaking when they were all dancing, it was brilliant.”
Moreover, the royals even met the “Lover” singer and her fiancé and snapped some pictures with them. As per an exclusive report by Page Six, Swift and Kelce are all set to wed in New York City on July 3. As per the report, the couple has already distributed “save-the-date” cards amongst friends and family.
