Lanterns’ Massive Death Report Will Devastate Green Lantern Fans

A new report suggests that a massive death is going to happen in DC’s Lanterns series. The show is scheduled to arrive on HBO Max on August 16. With Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre gearing up as Hal Jordan and John Stewart, Lanterns is co-created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King.

New report possibly spoils a major death in new Green Lanterns series

The new trailer for the Lanterns series has seemingly spoiled a major character death, according to a renowned insider.

Although Jeff Sneider didn’t name the character, his statement suggested that Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan might die in the upcoming show. While speaking with John Rocha on the Hot Mic podcast, he referred to what Chandler’s character says to Pierre’s character, Stewart, during a conversation about how he got the Green Lantern ring.

In the scene shown in the official trailer, Jordan says, “I’ve been doing this since you were a baby. And the only way you’re going to get this ring is over my dead f—— body.”

Sneider addressed the aforementioned dialogue in the podcast and told Rocha, “They’re kind of starting to give away the big thing about this show. A character on anything says the words over my dead body, that character usually winds up dead.”

Jeff Sneider further conveyed that the second half of the trailer showed more of Pierre. Meanwhile, Chandler could only be heard through the voiceover. This raises speculations regarding his fate in the series.

The theory is further intensified when John Rocha mentioned a funeral shot in the trailer. Also, Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner appears with a sad expression in one scene. Moreover, in March, it was announced that Pierre John Stewart had joined Man of Tomorrow, leaving Kyle Chandler out.

Nevertheless, whether Hal Jordan will die in the series will be confirmed once Lanterns drops.
