Aaron Pierre’s Next Movie After Lanterns Role With Margaret Qualley Is Now Playing in Theaters

After impressing audiences as John Stewart in Lanterns, Aaron Pierre returns to the big screen in his new movie. Amazon MGM Studios has released Love of Your Life in select theaters, where Pierre stars alongside Margaret Qualley.

The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 13, ahead of its limited theatrical release. Love of Your Life will begin streaming globally on Prime Video on October 14.

Rachel Morrison directed the movie from a screenplay by Julia Cox. Morrison, known for her cinematography on Mudbound and Black Panther, previously directed The Fire Inside.

The story follows Maya (Qualley), whose long-term relationship with Charlie (Gabriel Basso) ends after an unexpected personal tragedy. She leaves home and travels across Europe, trying to rebuild her life while dealing with the loss that changed everything.

During her journey, Maya meets two men who affect her life in different ways. Pierre and Patrick Schwarzenegger play the two romantic interests who become part of her attempt to move forward. Catherine Keener plays Maya’s mother and adds another perspective to the family’s response to her situation.

Love of Your Life has received a 74% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes following its festival debut. Early reviews have praised Morrison’s direction and the chemistry between Qualley and her co-stars. Critics have also noted that the movie stays focused on Maya’s grief while exploring how she handles the possibility of starting over.

Margaret Qualley and Aaron Pierre lead a star-studded romantic drama

Margaret Qualley anchors the story as Maya, carrying the character through the emotional changes that follow her loss. Meanwhile, Aaron Pierre plays one of the men Maya meets during her journey.

In addition to Qualley and Pierre, the cast includes Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Basso, Tamara Lawrance, and Corey Johnson. Morrison filmed the movie across the United Kingdom and Europe, using real locations to keep the story grounded.

Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson produced the film, which gives Qualley and Pierre a character-focused story about grief, relationships, and moving forward.
