Joy Behar recently shared her views on aging men getting Botox. She also spoke about what she does and does not do to maintain her own appearance. Behar made the comments while speaking on the “Behind the Table” podcast. She also laid out her full maintenance routine. She told executive producer Brian Teta, “I do work on myself,” and admitted that she has “had Restylane to fill in” certain spots on her face.
Joy Behar shares her brutally honest take on men getting Botox
Joy Behar confessed, “I tell everybody I have Botox.” As for her hair, she confessed that “just yesterday, I had a dye job, a highlight job, and a keratin treatment,” revealing that she is not a natural redhead despite what fans might think. Moreover, she quipped, “Look how stunning the hair looks!”
But one thing that she insists she has never done is go under the knife, confessing, “Everybody thinks I’ve had a facelift. I have not had a facelift.” She also revealed that she maintains her youthful appearance and good skin from her mother, a full head of hair, and constant effort, noting that “You have to do things.” Behar added, “Everybody thinks you look good because you’re naturally that good — you’re not.”
Then Teta brought up the old idea that men somehow age better. Behar was not having it and shut that down instantly, saying, “Men do not age better!” She also fired back with, “When they start with the Botox and the eyelid surgery and the hair dye, they look ridiculous!”
Joy Behar said that she believes that aging men are “better off just aging gracefully,” saying that society already gives them a pass by calling an older man “distinguished,” while women, on the other hand, face a far stricter judgment.
