Johnny Knoxville, who is known for being a thrill seeker, recently got candid about what scares him. The Jackass star revealed that his biggest fear has nothing to do with his dangerous stunt work.

Johnny Knoxville on what scares him the most

Johnny Knoxville attended the 2026 Fox Upfront at the New York City Center last week, on May 11. While speaking with PEOPLE at the event, the popular stunt performer and actor revealed his biggest fear.

When asked about what scares him the most, Knoxville shared, “Probably something happening with my kid or something my wife, but for me, not much.” The Fear Factor: House of Fear host is a father to three children.

His eldest daughter, Madison, whom he had with his then-wife Melanie Lynn Clapp, was born in 1996. He welcomed his son, Rocko, in 2009 and his second daughter, Arlo, in 2011 with his former wife, Naomi Nelson.

Following their divorce in 2022, Knoxville married his long-time girlfriend, costume designer Emily Ting, in November 2025.

Knoxville had previously opened up about being a father in an April 2024 interview with PEOPLE. Talking about his first baby’s birth, he said, “The baby was born, and she was put into my arms. Just looking at her, all of my fear went away. It just went away. I was like, ‘I think we got this,’ And it was a wonderful feeling.”

Knoxville also revealed that he doesn’t let his kids watch him in the reality stunt show, Jackass. In a February 2022 interview with The Guardian, the co-creator and star of the franchise shared, “I said: ‘Yeah, Dad has a silly show where he does pranks and stunts, but it’s not really appropriate for you to see.'”

He added, “Especially for him (Rocko), because he’s wired like my father. He has that rambunctious spirit, and I’m afraid that he would want to do it. And that’s just not going to be on the cards.”

Meanwhile, fans are excited to see Knoxville in the upcoming reality slapstick comedy film, Jackass: Best and Last, which serves as the fifth and final installment of the franchise. The movie arrives in theaters on June 26.
