The Pitt fans are eagerly waiting for Season 3, and after many teases in the past, series lead Noah Wyle, who plays Robby on the show, has revealed the exact timeframe of the upcoming season.
What did Noah Wyle say about The Pitt Season 3 time jump?
Wyle revealed more information on The Pitt Season 3’s time jump at the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation.
“We’re about to start production on season three,” Wyle said (via Deadline). “It’s set in early November, just before the holidays, ushering in a whole new set of emergencies and confrontations and complications.”
Setting the upcoming season right before the holidays is bound to add a lot more to the hospital staff’s plate. The second season of the show was set 10 months after the first season. The confirmation comes just over a month after Wyle teased the season’s timeframe at the 2026 PaleyFest LA. At the time, the two-time Primetime Emmy winner highlighted the impact of the cold season on the third season’s developments.
“In the wintertime, you get more car accidents, more black ice, more boilers exploding, and that kind of stuff. Different wardrobe, different vibe,” said Wyle in an interview last month. Unfortunately, HBO did not reveal the official release date for The Pitt Season 3. However, series executive producer John Wells had previously revealed that the production team was planning to arrive sometime in January 2027.
“We’ve figured out most of the season, but in broad strokes. And now we’re just sort of focusing a little bit more on individual episodes and characters,” added The Pitt creator R. Scott Gemmill.
Both seasons of The Pitt have been critically acclaimed, with the show predicted to earn 12 nominations at the 2026 Emmys. The Season 2 finale of the show was released in theaters, a move that is becoming more common with popular shows on streaming services.
The Pitt is available to stream on HBO Max.
