Prime Video’s Answer to Ransom Canyon Is 1 Step Closer To Release

Prime Video has ordered a series adaptation of Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill romance novels, the streamer confirmed on Monday during its presentation to advertisers in New York. The announcement has the project as the streamer’s next big addition to the Western romance genre, which is also an answer to Netflix’s Ransom Canyon.

Rose Hill TV show gets series order at Prime Video

The Rose Hill series will follow West Belmont, a rancher who avoids commitment, and Ford Grant, a reclusive record label owner whom Forbes has named the “World’s Hottest Billionaire.” Grant has long harboured feelings for West’s sister, Rosie. When country-pop star Skylar Stone arrives in their remote mountain town, existing tensions escalate across this romantic family drama.

Heidi Cole McAdams will write, showrun, and executive produce the series. Marc Webb will direct the first two episodes and serve as executive producer. Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman will executive produce alongside Silver. Annika Patton of Temple Hill will co-executive produce.

Silver spoke about the experience by saying, “Working with this team on the Rose Hill adaptation has been such a treat.” She further added, “To see everyone’s hard work and creativity come to life on screen will be a dream come true!” The Rose Hill book series currently consists of four titles: Wild Love, Wild Eyes, Wild Side, and Wild Card. Silver has also published five Chestnut Springs books and four Gold Rush Ranch novels.

Godfrey and Bowen described the project as aspirational yet grounded. “‘Rose Hill’ is exactly the kind of sweeping, emotional romance we love and need—grounded in character, driven by compelling relationships, and set in a world that feels both aspirational and authentic,” they said. “With Heidi and Marc, we have an incredible team bringing Elsie Silver’s fantastic books to life in a cinematic, exciting way. You’ll want to live in Rose Hill!”

But fans would have to wait for that to happen, as no release date has yet been announced (via Variety).
