Donald Trump Warns of Bombs If Iran Ceasefire Expires

Donald Trump raised fresh concerns during a recent exchange about escalating tensions tied to Iran. The remarks came as discussions continue around a fragile ceasefire and upcoming diplomatic efforts. His comments highlighted uncertainty surrounding the situation without clarifying how events may unfold.

Donald Trump talks about bombs amid Iran ceasefire

U.S. President Donald Trump told PBS News that “then lots of bombs start going off” if the Iran ceasefire expires Tuesday. He made the statement during a Monday phone call with correspondent Liz Landers. The call focused on the Iran war and the upcoming negotiations in Islamabad.

Trump said he was uncertain whether Iran would attend the talks in Islamabad. He stated, “I don’t know. I mean, they’re supposed to be there.” He added that both sides had agreed to attend, although Iran disputed that claim. Trump also said, “If they’re not there, that’s fine too,” indicating flexibility on participation amid ongoing diplomatic uncertainty.

Trump outlined a clear demand for the negotiations. He said, “No nuclear weapons. Very simple. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.” He emphasized that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons remained the sole objective of the talks. He described the negotiating team as his “A-Team” and said they had performed effectively.

Questions arose about Jared Kushner and his regional business ties. Trump said Kushner’s role focused only on preventing nuclear weapons development. He stated, “He’s purely negotiating for the fact that they’re not going to have a nuclear weapon.” Trump added that Kushner no longer participates in Saudi business activities, emphasizing transparency and separation from prior financial interests.

Trump also addressed energy prices following remarks by Chris Wright on CNN. Wright suggested gas prices may remain above $3 until later periods. Trump responded, “I disagree with him totally.” He said prices would “come roaring down” if the conflict ended and Iran complied.
