Tucker Carlson slams Donald Trump amid ongoing feud
Conservative activist and political commentator Tucker Carlson called out President Donald Trump for not being able to make his own decisions during an interview with Newsmax on April 10, 2026. Carlson said, “I’ve always liked Trump and still feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves. (via AOL).” He further added that Trump “can’t make his own decisions” and that the president is “hemmed in by other forces.”
A couple of days later, Carlson doubled down on his claims while appearing on BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg. There, Carlson was asked whether he thinks Trump is a “slave to Benjamin Netanyahu.” Carlson said, “I don’t think it is as simple as ‘he is under the control of Netanyahu,’ but you could certainly summarize it that way, and you wouldn’t be totally inaccurate.”
The 56-year-old blamed Israel for the US entering this ongoing war with Iran. He further added, “We know this because the single biggest mistake Trump – or any American president in my lifetime – has made was going to war with Iran in an effort to change its regime.”
Laura Kuenssberg pointed out that other Presidents in the past said no to Benjamin Nethanyu. Carlson said, “They did, and I wish our president had, but he didn’t.” He added, “The Israeli government, this is documented.” He claimed that he “saw it personally, steered the United States into a war that hurts the United States and the world.”
The explosive comments come days after Trump posted on Truth Social, calling out Republican voices that had turned against him. He included Carlson in the list.
