Dave Portnoy, the owner and founder of Barstool Sports, called out golf legend Tiger Woods after the latter had an accident on Friday near his Jupiter Island, Florida. Speaking on Monday’s Wake Up Barstool, Portnoy suggested that Woods should hire someone to drive him around.

“When you get behind the wheel impaired, you’re not just putting yourself at risk. You’re putting anybody else on the road, innocent people (at risk),” the businessman said (via New York Post).

Continuing his harsh criticism, Portnoy said, “You can’t really make light of it. I have no sympathy for the guy. I don’t know anybody who has ever rolled a car over. This guy rolls it over every two weeks! So, you know what? Put him behind bars, put him in jail for a little bit, and make him wake up.”

“I have a lot of vices. … My vices only put me in jeopardy, and nobody else. When you get behind the wheel, just get a driver. It’s not hard,” he continued in his rant, “Get a driver. You’re gonna kill somebody.”

Woods caused an accident on Friday when he attempted to cut in front of a truck near his Jupiter Island home. In the attempt, Woods ended up clipping the back of the vehicle, causing his car to flip. He got out through the passenger seat of the flipped car, but was not injured in the accident.

Soon after, Woods was arrested and taken to Martin County Jail. He refused to give a urine sample to the cops. Moreover, officers have claimed that he showed signs of impairment at the time. He spent eight hours in prison before getting out on bail.

Before this, Woods had been involved in multiple instances of vehicle-related accidents in the past.
