Meghan Markle and Prince Harry both have major roles lined up. In Touch Weekly reported that Markle will lead a women’s weekend retreat in Sydney. At the same time, Harry will also appear in Melbourne, where he will deliver the keynote address at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit.
A source explained the Duchess’s mindset, claiming, “[Meghan] says she and Harry have earned the right to chart their own path and make a success of it,” adding, “She keeps reminding him that they have millions of supporters around the world who are eager to engage with them and what they’re doing.”
Additionally, the insider claimed that the “Suits” alum believes “if they stay focused, they can build something enormous together, a Camelot of their own.”
In Touch noted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent trips to Jordan and Colombia did not sit well with the royal family, linking the tension to the intense backlash around the monarchy following ex-Prince Andrew‘s arrest.
Even so, the source claimed, “Meghan truly believes the tide is turning in their favor.” The person added, “She’s been telling Harry that they’re in a stronger position than the royal family in many ways now.”
Furthermore, the insider pointed to image and age playing a huge role, telling the publication that Markle “keeps pointing out how outdated the royal family is, whereas she and Harry represent something younger and much more modern,” and adding, “and in her view, that means they have the potential to become even more influential than the royals in terms of reach and cultural relevance.”
