Matters reportedly got intense between long-time friends and collaborators, Justin Bieber and Usher, at Beyoncé’s Oscar party. The star-studded party took place at West Hollywood’s storied Chateau Marmon.

As per sources who revealed to TMZ, the “Nice & Slow” hitmaker reportedly approached Bieber at the party with “energy and anger.” However, the two ended up getting into a “heated exchange.” As per reports, the situation did not escalate beyond a point and stopped before it went out of control.

Neither Bieber nor Usher nor Beyoncé nor Jay-Z has commented on the matter until now. The two musical artists’ friendship goes a long way. Fans are aware that the 47-year-old singer played a crucial role in launching Bieber’s music career and helped him connect with the music industry. Arguably, Usher has served as a mentor figure in the 32-year-old singer’s career, and the duo has collaborated on various songs as well.

In a 2024 interview with Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club, Usher revealed he had a brief conversation with the “Peaches” hitmaker about participating in his halftime show. However, the Canadian singer passed on the opportunity. The “Good Good” hitmaker said, “We’re going to do something else in the future, but no love lost or anything like that.”

He added, “I think that it’s a lot of pressure for the Super Bowl, obviously, for me to put together a show, so I reached out to everybody. Justin wasn’t the only person I actually spoke to about doing the Super Bowl, but the moment was maybe for later.” In other news, Bieber is all set to headline Coachella this spring alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G. The much-awaited music festival will take place from April 10–12 and April 17–19 in California.
