Rebecca Ferguson details Ocean Ave. with Megan Fox

Ferguson looked back on Ocean Ave. during a recent interview with Josh Horowitz of the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Ferguson was discussing her parents’ separation and its impact on her when Horowitz brought up Ocean Ave., jokingly noting that the Dune actress found her “voice” with the show. “That’s where you really came into your own,” he added, prompting Ferguson to exclaim, “Oh My God!”

The Mission: Impossible star mentioned Fox’s involvement in the project, as Horowitz noted that the production for the show took place in Miami Beach, Florida. When the interviewer said that there needed to be a documentary about the show, Ferguson quipped, “There should be, and thank God there isn’t.”

Ferguson recalled, “But it was a funny one… So, I think they said this is going to become like a Dawson’s Creek. And I was like, that’s amazing. But it turned into a pretty bad soap opera, to like one of those really bad porn films, right? You know, bad lighting, bad writing.”

According to Ferguson, she was 17 years old and living in Miami Beach when she was part of the cast of the series. “And it was a hoot,” she elaborated. “You know, it’s one of those moments that you don’t regret.”

When asked if she “overlapped” with Fox, Ferguson replied, “No, I mean, we were different circles. And I think I was a bit older, she was younger, she was in another crew, I was with the Swedes.” The Golden Globe nominee underscored that this was before Fox became really famous. Fox is currently 40 years old, whereas Ferguson is 42.

When Horowitz suggested a reboot for Ocean Ave. Fergoson quickly dismissed the idea. “Absolutely not,” she said.

The cast of Ocean Ave. also included Timothy Adams, Victoria Jackson, Jessica Sutta, and Gwendolyn Osborne.
