She revealed that she had remained silent for some time as she was dealing with other matters in her life. However, she now feels ready to move forward in 2026. In a conversation with Variety, Kidman was asked why she believes 2026 will be her year, given that she has seemingly owned every year. However, Kidman disagreed. She clarified that the previous year was not hers, in fact. “Well, not last year. I was quiet. I had other things going on. I was in my shell,” she briefly stated. The interviewer followed up on her answer, asking if she is now ready to come out of her shell. She responded, “Now I’m in a place of saying, ‘2026. Here we go.’ I have ‘Practical Magic’ with Sandy. I’ll be in full witch mode.”
Kidman’s latest comments come just over two months after her divorce from Urban was finalised. She initially filed for divorce in September 2025, citing “irreconcilable differences.” In January 2026, following her official split, a report surfaced revealing Kidman’s career plans and how she is feeling about the new year. A source told PEOPLE that “she’s looking ahead to a busy and exciting year professionally too, with several projects coming up.” They also revealed that Kidman loves family time. She is spending most of the time with her daughters, Sunday and Faith, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Urban.
Apart from Practical Magic 2, Kidman will also be a part of the upcoming horror movie, The Young People, directed by Osgood Perkins. She is also set to star in two television projects, Scarpetta and Margo’s Got Money Troubles.
