Doctor Doom rumored to murder children including James Rogers
A new rumor circulating online suggests that Doctor Doom may be portrayed as ruthless in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
According to claims shared by industry scooper MyTimeToShineHello, the film could include a shocking moment in which the villain kills James Rogers, the son of Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter. The claim states that the scenario takes place directly in front of Steve Rogers. In a post, scooper MyTimeToShineHello wrote, “Yes it’s true Doom kills Steve’s son in front of him in one of the most shocking moments in the film.”
In another post, the same scooper described the character’s portrayal as especially brutal. “My God Doom is ruthless and doesn’t care about killing kids,” the scooper wrote.
The reported details also follow earlier claims about the film’s storyline. According to another post from MyTimeToShineHello, Doom allegedly destroys the Time Variance Authority and eliminates nearly every branching timeline across the multiverse. The claim states that only one timeline remains intact. However, the surviving reality was not identified.
At present, these story details remain unverified. Marvel Studios has not confirmed any of the rumored plot details related to the film.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 18, 2026. The film will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, which is expected to be released on December 17, 2027. The upcoming Marvel projects are already drawing attention for their large ensemble casts, including Robert Downey Jr. appearing as Doctor Doom alongside several returning actors from earlier X-Men films such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Alan Cumming.
