Donald Trump Warns Americans ‘Some People Will Die’ in Iran War

President Donald Trump has provided his stance on the safety of the American people amid the escalating conflict with Iran, admitting that some US lives could be lost due to the war. In a shocking confession, the Republican noted that casualties are part and parcel of war. He added that certain US citizens “will die” by getting caught in the crossfire.

During a March 4 phone call, the POTUS stated that Americans’ concerns about a potential retaliation from the Middle East nation are not unfounded.

When asked if it is possible for Iran to attack the US soil, Donald Trump replied to TIME, “I guess.” He added, “But I think they’re worried about that all the time. We think about it all the time. We plan for it. But yeah, you know, we expect some things.” Trump went as far as to say, “Like I said, some people will die. When you go to war, some people will die.”

The war has already claimed the lives of six American service members. An Iranian drone killed the said personnel following a strike at a US command center in Kuwait. Meanwhile, more than 150 people died when a barrage hit a girls’ school in southern Iran. According to The Sunday Guardian, Iran has reported over 1,230 dead due to the strikes ordered by Trump and his administration.

Talking about the Iranian officials who’ve died as a result of US aggression, the businessman-turned-politician said, “I’ve killed all their leaders. That room is gone.”

Donald Trump also provided insight into his larger plans for Iran. He noted, “One of the things I’m going to be asking for is the ability to work with them on choosing a new leader. I’m not going through this to end up with another Khamenei. I want to be involved in the selection. They can select, but we have to make sure it’s somebody that’s reasonable to the United States.”
