How Avengers: Doomsday’s Dead Heroes Will Return in Secret Wars – Report

A new report surrounding Avengers: Secret Wars has sparked discussion about the fate of several major Marvel characters. The update centers on how events in Avengers: Doomsday could directly impact which heroes appear in the Multiverse Saga’s finale.

How Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and more could return in Avengers: Secret Wars

A recent post from @MyTimeToShineHello stated, “Everyone who dies in Doomsday will be back in Secret Wars because Doom will resurrect everyone.” The claim follows earlier rumors that “Tobey’s Spidey and Hugh’s Wolverine both die at the beginning of Avengers Doomsday.” If true, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine could return in Avengers: Secret Wars through Doom’s resurrection.

These reports remain unverified by Marvel Studios. Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with Robert Downey Jr. portraying Doctor Doom. It is scheduled for release on December 18, 2026. The film is the first installment of a two-part finale to the Multiverse Saga. The storyline will conclude with Avengers: Secret Wars.

Reports suggest Deadpool and Wolverine travel to Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man universe with a mission to destroy it. This reportedly leads to a fatal confrontation between Spider-Man and Wolverine. Separate claims indicate that Doctor Doom wipes out the TVA and kills Loki, positioning Doom at the center of a major multiversal event. Daniel Richtman has also indicated that Loki’s involvement in the film will be minimal.

The ensemble cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes. Letitia Wright appears as Shuri, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

Patrick Stewart portrays Professor X, with Ian McKellen as Magneto and James Marsden as Cyclops. Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm, and Joseph Quinn appears as Johnny Storm. Chris Evans returns as Steve Rogers. Reports also speculate appearances by Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang.

All reported details, including character deaths and resurrections, remain unconfirmed by Marvel Studios.
