David Harbour says fighting this one thing is harder than Vecna
David Harbour reveals there is one thing that is tougher to defeat than Vecna. In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Harbour revealed, “Middle age is a brutal monster that lives in the dark,” and that everyone has to face it at some point in their lives.
Entertainment Tonight’s reporter asked, “We watched you on Stranger Things for many years. I think a lot of people are wondering, ‘After a massive cultural phenomenon like that, how did you know that this was the project you were going to pivot to next?’”
Harbour replied, “You know, my career, I battle a lot of monsters. I battled Vecna and I battled Thanos-level threats. Now, I’m battling the worst of all—middle age, which is a brutal monster that lives in the dark.”
Continuing further, he said, “Coming from this guy Hopper, who has been such a big, iconic, you know, sort of masculine figure, to go into someone like Floyd, who’s very different and who has a real deep vulnerability to him, was just so refreshing.”
Two months after Stranger Things’ finale, Harbour will appear in a rooted, dark-comedy television miniseries titled DTF St. Louis. The miniseries comprises seven episodes. He stars alongside Jason Bateman, Linda Cardellini, Joy Sunday, and Richard Jenkins, and it premieres on March 1 on HBO.
The 50-year-old will portray the role of Floyd. He forms one-third of a love triangle alongside Bateman as Clark Forrest, a weatherman, and Cardellini as Floyd’s wife, Carol. The trio gets embroiled in a love triangle that ultimately results in one person’s death.
