Ex-Prince Andrew Made Shock Demand To King Charles Before Arrest — Source

Former Prince Andrew reportedly made a strange demand to King Charles before his arrest. The ex-Duke of York was arrested on his 66th birthday due to suspicion of misconduct in public office. After hours of searching at Woods Farm, he was released by the Thames Valley police station. However, his name was missing from the official statement. According to a source, Andrew had a unique request for his brother before his detention.

According to Rob Shuter, former Prince Andrew made a demand to King Charles before his arrest on February 19. Sources told the outlet the ex-Duke wanted his favorite horses to accompany him to Sandringham Estate. One insider stated, “Everything else was being stripped away. The horses were the last piece of control he had.”

However, the demand was not so straightforward as Sandringham reportedly does not have stables for private riding horses, and keeping them is an expensive routine.

A royal source said, “You don’t just ‘move a few horses.” The individual further added, “You move grooms, vets, security protocols. It’s a rolling bill.” Another insider shared, “There was a feeling of, ‘How much more are we expected to absorb?’” One source also mentioned that the former prince “was planning riding routes, not legal defenses.” They continued, “That tells you everything about where his head was.”

Recently, a royal author, Robert Jobson, pointed out how the monarchy might face heat if they were found to have known of Andrew’s wrongdoings before his arrest. The author told PEOPLE, “When these things went on, he was Prince Andrew, Duke of York.” Jobson continued, “He was right at the heart of the royal family and appointed by the late Queen [Elizabeth] and the government.”

The 67-year-old also said, “It is one thing kicking him out now and saying he is a bad apple, but they didn’t have due diligence in place.” Jobson further explained, “The problem will be — who knew what and when and why was nothing done?”
