A source has warned that Prince Harry and his family risk facing “desperate” paparazzi on their UK trip. While no official itinerary has been released, the Duke of Sussex is expected to return to London in the coming weeks. The warning follows intense press attention surrounding his few UK visits since leaving senior royal duties in 2020, along with continuing disputes over security.

Prince Harry’s return to the UK could place him and his family at the center of a media frenzy.
The Sussexes and their children Archie and Lilibet will reportedly soon make their first joint trip to the UK in four years. The visit would mark the family’s first public visit to Britain since the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
However, British authorities denied their bid for taxpayer-funded police protection. Yet a Sussex spokesperson said that the Prince is still seeking any workable solution to make the visit safe and to let his children enjoy time in the UK.
King Charles has reportedly offered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lodging at a royal residence for their trip, which already includes built-in security. The challenge, however, lies in ensuring the family’s safety once they leave the estate.
“I think there’s going to be a huge anticipation to see Harry and Meghan, especially Meghan, back on British soil with the children,” Afua Hagan, a royal commentator, said in remarks to ABC. “There will be a frenzy of: Where are they landing? Where are they going first? Where are they staying? What will they be doing while they’re here?” Hagan added.
Hagan further noted that paparazzi will be “desperate” to photograph the children’s faces. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have always sought to keep their little ones shielded from public view.
After losing a legal challenge for guaranteed security protection in the UK just over a year ago, Prince Harry made his stance on future visits to his home country clear. In May 2025, he told the BBC he couldn’t see his family returning to the UK as things stand.
