Marlon Wayans Reveals How White Chicks 2 & Don’t Be a Menace Sequel Can Happen

Marlon Wayans says fans hoping for follow-ups to two of his most talked-about comedies shouldn’t lose hope just yet. The actor recently revealed that potential sequels are not off the table, but they depend on one key factor. His latest comments have quickly reignited interest among longtime viewers eager for the franchise-style return.

Marlon Wayans talks about White Chicks 2 and Don’t Be a Menace 2

Speaking on the Rap Attack Official podcast, Wayans reflected on what makes his comedy style work and why audiences still connect with his older films. He explained that the formula is simple but effective: placing outrageous, funny characters into high-stakes or uncomfortable situations and letting the humor unfold naturally. According to Wayans, that contrast is what keeps the laughs landing years later.

During the conversation, Wayans also discussed the upcoming Scary Movie 6, noting that familiar faces are expected to return. He specifically mentioned Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and his own character Shorty. “We got everybody back,” Wayans said.

That momentum could determine what comes next. Wayans hinted that sequels to White Chicks and Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood are possible, but only if the new Scary Movie performs well with audiences. “We going to dig in the crates and bring back some hits,” he said, adding confidently, “We know how.”

Both movies still hold strong cult status. White Chicks, directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans and released through Sony Pictures Releasing, became famous for its undercover FBI chaos and endlessly quotable jokes. Meanwhile, Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, helmed by Paris Barclay, poked fun at ’90s hood dramas and was greatly received.

Right now, Wayans is focused on delivering Scary Movie 6. However, he made one thing clear. If fans show up and the numbers hit, he’s more than ready to revisit those fan-favorite worlds. That could finally give audiences the sequels they’ve been waiting for.
